In what will hopefully become a template for other states, Texas has passed a law that requires hospitals to educate parents and caregivers of newborns about the dangers of heatstroke.  See  http://www.ktre.com/story/29466407/texas-law-requires-hospitals-educate-parents-on-dangers-of-heatstroke and  http://www.pediatricsafety.net/2015/07/texas-new-child-vehicular-heatstroke-law-what-it-means-to-me/ .  The law goes into effect on September 1st.
